Kobama is a Brazilian organization specialized in the sales representation of electronic components manufacturers. Our current linecard includes Atmel, Lantiq, 3M Interconnect, Emerson Embedded Power, Pericom, Cirocomm, Inside Secure, Dream and three Cooper Industrie’s strong brands: Bussmann, Coiltronics and Power Stor. The products these outstanding companies manufacture can be divided in five areas: passive, digital semiconductor, analog semiconductor, Interconnection and embedded systems.
In the passive components area it is included fuses, suppressors from Bussmann, supercapacitors from PowerStor and magnetic components (inductors, power inductors, common mode chokes, transformers, current sensors, etc) from Coiltronics brand. We also offer xtals and oscillators from Saronix and eCera. Our competitors are mainly Coilcraft, Epcos, Wurth, JW Miller, TDK, Vishay, Panasonic, Delta, etc.
In the digital semiconductor group the main products are 8 bit, 16 bit and 32 bit microcontrollers (Atmel’s AVR, AVR32, ARM7, ARM9, ARM11, CORTEX and 8051), nonvolatile memories (Atmel’s EPROM, EEPROM, Serial Flash, Parallel Flash and Dataflash), secure memories and contact smart cards (Atmel’s Cryptomemory) , contactless smart card and RFIDs (Atmel’s CryptoRF), RF transceivers for ZigBee (800-900 MHz and 2.4 GHz) and for specific applications in the frequencies ranges 315 MHz, 3456 Mhz, 433 MHz, 868 MHz, 915 MHz and 2.4 GHz. It is included in this group also the touch technology keys that is part of modern designs of electronic products. We offer telecommunication and network from Lantiq. We also offer secure microcontrollers, smartcars, cryptography coprocessors and NFC of Inside Secure. If you application requires switching of any kind of analog or digital signal, Pericom has several solutions to offer. If you are in the audio business, we can offer several solutions from Dream with their Audio DSP products. We compete mainly against Freescale, NXP, ST, Microchip, Texas Instruments among others.
To make the product development easier, Atmel microcontrollers can be implemented with several operating systems like Linux, Android and Windows CE (for ARM9).
The embedded systems area is covered by Atmel with Zigbee modules and by Emerson Embedded Power with AC-DC power supplies and DC-DC Converters.
This linecard is totally complementary and allow the development of several electronic products, in several applications in industries like telecommunication, automotive products, medical equipment, industrial automation, bank automation, POS products, consumer (white line and brown line) , information technology, utility meters (electric energy, water, gas, etc).
